Diving courses, day trips and even liveaboard excursions are all offered. Sightseeing tours are also very popular with plenty of oppurtunities to enjoy the wonderful scenery or to visit the local islands and beaches. Hot springs, temples and caves are also visited. Slightly more energetic activities include rock climbing on Railae beach and sea kayaking.

Dive Site
Directly off Ao Nang Bay there are two islands. Koh Podah Nai and Nok, most of the diving is concentrated around these. All the local diving, which is relatively shallow, can be reached in an average of 45 min by Longtail boat or in around 20 min by the larger dive boats.

Koh Daeng (Red Island)
Location: 3km southwest of Ao Nang Beach.

Facts about dive:
Hawksbill, Green and other turtles.
Sea snakes, Blue-spotted Ribbontail Stingrays and juvenile reef sharks.

Access to the dive: 15min from Ao Nan Beach and 25min from Railae.
A mooring buoy 50m south of the island.

Koh Ma Tang Ming
Location: The outcrop 100m off the northern shoreline of Koh Po Da Nai.

Facts about dive:
Bearded Scorpionfish and stonefish. Yellow Boxfish, Rock Basslets, Moorish idols and bannerfish.

Access to the dive: 
35min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach. The site is unbuoyed.

Koh Podah Nai
Location: The largest of the offshore islands and islets over 6km south of Ao Nang Beach.

Facts about dive:
Due to large presence of boat traffic, extreme care must be taken when snorkelling. Clusters of staghorn, cauliflower and a number of leaf and place corals. Seahorses.

Access to the dive: 
35min from either Ao Nan or Railae Beach.Several mooring buoys.

Koh Poda Nok (Chicken Island)
Location: 500m due south of Koh Podan Nai.

Facts about dive:
Coral fringes the eastern beach. Rocky boulder and coral laminates. A large diversity of marine life. Lots of small colorful reef-fish like damselfish, parrotfish and wrasse.

Access to the dive:
35min from either Ao Nang of Railae Beach.

Koh Mae Urai (Koh Taru)
Location: 1km due west of Koh Podah Nok. 

Facts about dive:
Two underwater tunnels. Bannerfish, Moorish idols and Blue-ringed Angelfish. Green, black and Yellow featherstars, orange encrusting sponges and Sea Anemones.

Access to the dive: 
40min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach. Two mooring buoys.

Hin Bia Rhlua (Boat-shaped Rock)
Location: 500m southeast of Koh Mae Urai.

Facts about dive:
Snorkellers have an ideal opportunity to observe the reef dominated by staghorn corals and colorful reef-fish.
Scorpionfish, parrotfish.

Access to the dive: 
45min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach. Two mooring buoys.

Koh Ya Wa Sam
Location: 2km west of Koh Podah Nok.

Facts about dive:
Minimals corals.Juvenile Blacktip Reef and Grey Nurse Sharks, Leopard Sharks.

Access to the dive: 
45min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach. A single mooring buoy.

Koh Kom
Location: The sheer rock outcrops 100m southeastern apex of Koh Podah Nok.

Facts about dive:
Moorish idols and Schooling Bannerfish. Blacks corals.
Large Dog-faced Pufferfish and groupers. A small cave.

Access to the dive:
35min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach.Two mooring buoys.

Koh Ya Wa Bon
Location: 1km west of Koh Podah Nok

Facts about dive:
Corals laminates interspersed with sea anemones.
Snorflake Moray Eels, Wrasse, parrotfish and lionfish.

40min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach.  No mooring buys.

12 m.

12 m.

Koh See
Location: Three outcrops in a step formation, rising from south to north about 10min due south of Koh Podah Nok.

Facts about dive:
A tremendous diversity of corals and marine life.

Access to the dive: 
45min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach.

Everyone Koh See

Koh Ha
Location: A rocky outcrop 500m south of Koh See.

Facts about dive:
Two large rocks beneath it at a depth of 9m. These are covered in soft corals, with oysters.
Sea anemones mainly Magnificient and Gigantic.

Access to the dive: 45min from either Ao Nang or Railae Beach.
